Manager, Systems Administration

Maintain, troubleshoot, perform account management functions of multi-user environment and maintain servers and install new software.  Will work with integration teams, deployment teams and software developers during the build, deployment and sustaining of the systems. Will train new users and existing users on upgrades and modifications to systems on an as needed basis. 

  • Utilizes monitoring systems to monitor complex various IT assets including servers, network, operating systems, software, middleware, WEB, and other IT services as required.
  • Responsible for installs, configurations, maintenance, upgrades, hardware migrations, patch management, troubleshooting, repair, performance tuning, and incident/problem resolution.
  • Acts as a vendor liaison, and conducts presentations to customer or client audiences as well as professional peers.
  • Monitors and acts, as necessary, to ensure correct monitoring system problem detection and minimize business interruption from IT systems.
  • Develops, tests and implements technical procedures.
  • Produces clear and comprehensive technical instructions and documents of moderately complex technical concepts to a wide audience.
  • Translate business application requirements into infrastructure requirements.
  • Participate in incident/problem meetings to support and provide a customer service focused and lead presence.
  • Manages multiple projects/issues concurrently.
  • Executes infrastructure hosting deployments of medium to large scale.
  • 5+ years of enterprise-level server support.
  • 5+ years building and troubleshooting system/application/infrastructure experience.
  • Respond to change in a positive manner and willingness to shift your work or schedule in response to the demands of the situation.
  • BS-Computer Science
  • MBA Preferred
